I've got a L3000DT with R1's set at their narrowest position (40" width from center to center of the rear tires). I'm intested in setting the wheels wider. According to my manual there are 4 positions for the rear wheels. I'd like to go to the one that would put them at 47". For this position it looks like the disks would remain in their current postion & the rims would have to be reversed so I guess I would have to switch the tires/rims from one side to the other. Anyone have an suggestions or insight on doing this??
Also, has anyone reversed the front wheels to get a wider stance? My manual says "Do not turn front discs to obtain wider tread". Is this Kubota's way of telling me not to do this? If so, anyone know why? I've seen them reversed on other tractors like mine.

If you have a loader set it on the ground with a little pressure. If not you will have to block the front axle on bothe sides between farme and axle. Or use 2 jacks.
I use a small floor jack and lift the tractor at the drawbar mounting point. Switch the wheels.
It depends on how deep the dish is on the front tires. But usually there is a steering issue with the tires hitting the mower decks or the loader. I have always felt that it put udue stress on the axle components but can not support that statement with data. ....

Me sleeps 8pm to 4am EST this time of year and always try for 8 hrs a night. Have a cup of coffee and check mail before getting ready to go to work. I am at work by 6am this time of year done by 2 and during the construction season as early as 3-4 am and home by 6-7pm.
Working 40 weeks is very relaxing.
I think TP server is in central time zone. ....

The narrowest position is not acceptable for the rear wheels with R1’s according to my owner’s manual. Mine is a L3300 so it might be different. The disk should be angled away from the tractor and the rim would be bolted to the outside of the disk. On mine that would give you 48” You might have to re- mount your tires on the rims to abtain this! ....
